Northern Rock Foundation supports Opera North

Howard Lake | 21 August 2003 | News

The Northern Rock Foundation will assist the work of Opera North in Newcastle and has committed to a grant of £90,000 over three years.

The Theatre Royal, Newcastle is a core venue for Opera North, and this grant from the Foundation will ensure that as many as 43,500 people will see opera over this period.

The grant has been awarded to the national opera company for the North of England under the Northern Rock Foundation’s Aspiration programme. This assists cultural charities that help raise the profile of the North East and Cumbria, and give high quality performances to a wide audience.
