St Elizabeth's Centre celebrates centenary with fundraising appeal

Howard Lake | 22 July 2003 | News

Hertfordshire-based St Elizabeth’s Centre, the specialist centre for children and adults with epilepsy, celebrates its 100th year this year. It will mark its centenary year with a 12-month programme of events designed to raise awareness and recruit support for its cause.

Following the recent appointment of Kevin McMullen to the newly created position of Chief Executive Officer, the charity aims to build on the fundraising efforts which have seen £10 million raised over the last 10 years.

Centenary celebrations will include focussing on thanking all those involved in fundraising activities. Fundraising events include a fashion show in September featuring items by celebrity fashion designer Genade, an open day in January 2004 and a reception hosted by Cardinal Cormac Murphy O’Connor in May 2004.
