Richard Sadler, who spent four months in a home in London run by children’s charity NCH as a baby before being adopted, is doing the London Triathlon on Sunday 3 August to raise funds for NCH.

This is the first time 34 year-old Richard has done the London Triathlon and he is maximising the challenge by entering for the harder of the two entry options – the ‘Olympic’, which takes the form of a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike ride and a 10km run.

Sales Manager Richard, who lives in Crowle, Worcestershire, is training 6 days a week – consisting of 1 hour each of wimming, running and cycling.
