Charity Management Consortium launches training videos

The Charity Management Consortium (CMC) is launching a series of four Masterclass videos offering ./guidance on governance, change management, communication and impact.

The video training packs (VTPs), which include notes from leading voluntary sector author Mike Hudson, are suitable for all voluntary organisations and are especially targeted at CEOs, senior managers, trainers and sector consultants.

The first two video based training packs entitled “Being an effective board member” and “Being an effective change leader of Management change” will retail at £27 and will be available from the Directory of Social Change.

The videos will be launched on 18 June 2003 at Zurich Financial Services head office in London. Lord Filkin, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Home Office and Geraldine Peacock, Chief Executive of Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, will speak at the launch on “building sustainability in the charity sector.”

The videos, which feature expert interviews and drama, have received the backing of high profile individuals such as Julia Unwin, Charity Commissioner and Shaks Ghosh, CEO of Crisis. Each video comes with additional written information and trainer’s notes.

The Charity Management Consortium (CMC) consists of a group of 13 national charities and corporate supporters who all share a commitment to building a stronger, self-sustaining charity sector.
