Blackbaud, the technology provider to non-profits and educational institutions, is seeking nominations for its annual TechnOvation Award.

The 2003 grand-prize winner of this international award, which recognizes organisations that use Blackbaud software in an outstanding or innovative way, will receive a $5,000 donation.

“This award is about recognizing customers who ‘think out of the box’ about how they use our software, either by itself or in conjunction with other products,” said Germaine Ward, Vice President of Products at Blackbaud.

Nominations can be made via an online form on the company’s Web site. Organisations can nominate themselves or others. All of the company’s clients, regardless of the Blackbaud products they use, are eligible. Nominations are due by 31 July 2003.

In August, five finalists will be chosen from the nominations received. A panel of judges from the non-profit and technology communities will review materials on each of the five and select the grand-prize winner. The winner will be announced during an award presentation at Blackbaud’s Conference on Philanthropy to be held in November 2003 in Charleston, SC.
