Nude calendar shocks charity into rejecting donation

Nude calendar shocks charity into rejecting donation

The Rainbow children’s cancer appeal has turned down an estimated £4,000 donation from the sales of an opera group’s calendar because it was too rude.

Nude fundraising calendars might now be a little too ubiquitous, but they haven’t lost their power to shock. The Rainbow children’s charity turned down the offer of funds raised from the Shrewsbury Operatic Society’s calendar. As with most other fundraising calendars, props and other items were strategically placed to ensure that the pictures were nothing more than saucy.

Still, there were “just too many bare backsides,” and the proffered donation has been turned down.
