RNID wins Charity Internet Site of the Year award
RNID’s Web site won the award for Charity Internet Site of the Year at the 2002 Charity Awards at Grosvenor House in London last night.
The judges commended the site for moving away from being purely information-based and expanding its content to include a specialist online shop, downloadable factsheets, information on campaigns and news on employment, social care and education.
RNID has recently introduced online ‘Start to Sign’ tutorials and e-campaigns. Future plans for the site include targeted micro sites for employment, training and child deafness.

Brian Lamb, Director of Communications at RNID said: “Considering so many charities have excellent websites we are very pleased that the judges chose to recognise our website’s strengths in the areas of design, depth of information and layout.
