Gloss on charity

Howard Lake | 31 August 2002 | News

Charities and voluntary groups can receive free donations of paint from a recycling charity called Community Re>Paint.

Research by a Leeds environmental group in the 1990s found that an average household was sitting on 17 cans of half-used paint pots. Community Re>Paint is a community charity which aims to liberate those pots and donate them to charities that are looking for paint. There is no charge to receive the used or half-used tins of paint.

Community Re>Paint launched its 50th local scheme earlier this month.
