What does the private sector have to teach the voluntary sector?

While it doesn’t of course have all the answers, it makes sense to adapt the best of private sector thinking and experience to benefit the voluntary sector.

Kevin Kearns explains how this can work in his book, “Private Sector Strategies for Social Sector Success: The Guide to Strategy and Planning for Public and Nonprofit Organizations.” Publishers Jossey-Bass say that it is “the first book for public and nonprofit organisations to go beyond the strategic planning process and offer in-depth advice on selecting and using specific strategies for organisational success.”

Published in May 2000, the book is the winner of the Terry McAdam Book Award for Nonprofit Excellence.
