Giving Campaign Works with Misys to promote tax-effective giving
The Giving Campaign is working with financial advisers to promote tax-effective giving.
The Giving Campaign has produced ./guidance to help raise awareness amongst independent financial advisers (IFAs) of tax-effective giving and enable them to provide appropriate information on charitable giving to their clients.
Information on Share Giving, Payroll Giving, Gift Aid, Legacies and Trusts, will be distributed by Misys IFA Services to its network of over 7,000 advisers in their member firms in August this year.

Amanda Delew, Director of The Giving Campaign, said: “In the past, there has been some reluctance by IFAs to see it as part of their role to discuss charitable gifts with their clients. So we are delighted that Misys are now helping to promote the benefits of tax effective giving. We hope that others in the industry will follow, and we stand ready to help
them do so.”
Andrew Oliver, Head of Marketing at Misys IFA Services Marketing, added: “There are a number of tax breaks on offer for donors and it makes sense that our members, many of whom themselves regularly give to charity, are fully briefed on the ways in which giving relates to tax and financial
planning. We aim to provide a comprehensive service to our members, which would not be complete without the ability to offer advice on tax effective giving.”
