PPFA’s success occurred on 31 December 2001, bringing their online donations total for their end-of-year campaign to $380,000.

The results were presented by PPFA Director of Direct Response Molly Smith Watson, and reported by Donordigital Online News.

The end-of-year campaign promoted online giving in a number of ways. The direct mail appeal to donors included a post script which encouraged them to give online and before the end of the year. It provided a specific URL which helped the non-profit track responses generated from the paper appeal. The non-profit’s telemarketing campaign mentioned giving online.
