A leaflet and poster campaign by the RSPCA is designed to spread the message about whom to contact regarding stray dogs. The RSPCA, together with other animal charities, receives hundreds of calls each year about stray dogs, but the responsibility rests only with local authorities and the police.
The campaign is designed both to reduce the problem and reduce the time the animal charities have to spend on handling irrelevant enquiries.
