Parrot sketch used in Amnesty legacy campaign
Amnesty International UK is using Michael Palin and his dead parrot for its legacy campaign.
“One day I’ll be as dead as a parrot,” says Michael Palin on the latest Amnesty International UK legacy campaign postcard. “But my beliefs can live on.”
Amnesty’s use of humour in the normally staid world of legacy fundraising is remiscent of other charities’ attempts to get their legacy message across. Greenpeace enjoyed memorable success with its beermat campaign with the message: “When you come back as a whale, you’ll be bloody glad you remembered Greenpeace in your will.”
