FTSE 100 companies still not accessible online to disabled people

The top UK companies are still not publishing accessible Web sites, says a survey.

Ony 5% of the UK’s FTSE 100 companies are publishing Web sites that are accessible to people with disabilities, according to Web developer Aspect Internet. They measured the companies’ Web sites using criteria set by automated online accessibility tool Bobby.

Over half of all company Web sites used inappropriate font size, which makes their content difficult to access for partially sighted Web users.
