New generation of Getty family makes £10m gift

A new Getty has made a donation of £10 million to the National Gallery.

The Getty family’s philanthropy lives on in the guise of Mark Getty, 41, son of John Paul Getty II, now Sir Paul Getty. He, together with his uncle Gordon, has given £10 million to the National Gallery.
