Elderly and unemployed encouraged to volunteer

Education Secretary David Blunkett will today announce plans to encourage older people to give time to the community and make it easier for unemployed people to volunteer. His announcement will come in a keynote speech to be delivered at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations’ conference in London.
