WorldVision offers great gifts online

World Vision has launched great-gifts.org, an online gift catalogue that encourages supporters to buy practical gifts that make a difference. As UK Fundraising reported in December, there are seven sections in which you can buy transport, water, hope, farm animals, and harvest. New Media Age magazine has this week reviewed the site and given it 70 out of 100 for content, usability, branding, and monetisation.

This direct “this is what you money will buy” approach was pioneered by Heifer Project International, whose Most Important Gift Catalog in the World was featured by UK Fundraising back in November 1998.
