Now in their third year, the New Statesman New Media Awards 2001 aim to reward Internet innovators who embrace the future. This includes voluntary sector innovators, not least because this year’s focus is on the Digital Divide.

Now in their third year, the New Statesman New Media Awards 2001 aim to reward Internet innovators who embrace the future. This includes voluntary sector innovators, not least because this year’s focus is on the Digital Divide.

There are six awards: the Merit Award, Advocacy Award, E-government Award, Elected Representative Award, Education Award, and the Online Communities Award. Nominations open on 4 January 2001 and close 30 May 2001. Winners will receive their awards at a special event in July 2001. Details of the winning projects will feature in a special edition of the magazine, and the winning Web sites or new media projects will feature on the New Statesman Web site for a year.
