Churches aspire to towering fundraising opportunity

Churches could add gain a new revenue stream if they allow their towers and spires to be used by mobile phone companies for aerials. The Archbishops’ Council has issued advice to the 16,000 parish churches on how to handle such offers from the three mobile telephone licence operators. Individual churches could earn up to £5,000 a year from such a deal.
