Viral marketing for Crusaid
To highlight World AIDS Day on 1st December, charity Crusaid is testing an online “viral marketing” campaign for the first time. Supporters are encouraged to forward an e-mail message to friends and colleagues suggesting they visit a World AIDS Day postcard page. The message concludes: “It will take just a minute to help us spread the word that the crisis has not gone away, and that the fight against HIV and AIDS needs all our commitment today.” And yes, Crusaid is well aware of the grim relevance of the phrase “viral marketing” to their organisation.
