Charities win review of rapid grant cuts

Haringey council has been criticised for not giving due consideration to Age Concern Haringey and the Haringey Consortium of Disabled People and Carers when it gave “only 48 hours’ notice” of cuts in their grants. Although the judicial review did found that the council had acted lawfully, the decision could help other voluntary organisations in future.
