National Lottery Commission chairman resigns
Dame Helena Shovelton, chairman of the National Lottery Commission, has resigned, causing yet more concern about the award of the National Lottery licence. If there is any hiatus when the next licence begins in October 2001 charities could in theory start to miss out on an estimated £4 million per day in Lottery funding.
