Silver screen turns to gold for local charity

Friends in the right place can help many fundraising appeals. A Welsh hospice has learned this truism in spectacular fashion. The Apollo Cinema in Rhyll, north Wales, has won the right to host the gala premiere of new movie Me, Myself and Irene. Proceeds will go to the local hospice.
The friend in the right place? Paul Higginson used to play for Rhyll FC and is now vice-president of finance and business at 20th Century Fox.
