Fees and charges are biggest income generators

Fees and charges for services are the biggest source of income for charities and non-profits. According to the Johns Hopkns Comparative Nonprofit Sector Project, 49% of all non-profit revenues in the 22 countries it studied come from fees, charges and membership dues, followed by government funding at 40%, with only around 10% as cash income.
