Charity banner ads in top ten by spend

Howard Lake | 25 May 2000 | News

Two UK charities have made their first appearance in the top ten of online ad campaigns measured by Internet analysts Forrester. The RSPCA and Christian Aid both promoted their respective fundraising and campaigning weeks with Web banner adverts. The RSPCA was ranked fifth and Christian Aid eighth in terms of estimated advertising spend.

The RSPCA was just one place behind Freeserve’s auctions banner ad, and Christian Aid was ahead of Hospital Plan Insurance Services. Of course, it is likely that the charities secured some donated advertising space.
