Bogus aircrash fund Web sites

The immediacy of the Internet makes it a valuable tool for emergency appeals by charities. Unfortunately this immediacy can be hijacked and misused.

The latest examples are two Web sites that sprang up in the wake of the Alaska Airlines crash last week, purporting to be accepting donations on behalf of the families of Flight 261.
