Shutting shop for Christmas

Howard Lake | 13 December 1999 | News

This might be the first genuine e-Christmas for online traders, but various reports are surfacing that some online traders are not servicing customers well.

Which makes efforts made by Barnardos to manage expectations from visitors to its new online shop all the more welcome. Their front page states clearly: “PLEASE NOTE : We are only currently able to deliver to the UK and orders must be received by 13th of December to be delivered in time for Christmas.” It will be interesting to see if any other online charity shops and trading activities fail to stop taking orders beyond the date at which they can still deliver goods bought for Christmas.
