Celebrities often help charities in their fundraising efforts. One US celebrity, however, is now the subject of an online fundraising appeal himself.

Gary Coleman, child star of comedy Diff’rent Strokes, is now bankrupt and has teamed up with New York entertainment site UGO Network to run a Web-a-thon to raise money by auctioning his personal effects.
