A tale of two CDs

Howard Lake | 14 April 1998 | News

Information technology is an essential component to professional fundraisers’ activities. This has been true for many years, but it was brought home in March when two fundraising and charity magazines carried cover-mounted CD-ROMs for the first time. Professional Fundraising carried a CD-ROM with a full working version of Proclaim 97, the donor administration software. Charity Times carried CD-ROM-based demos of c-macs v4 and Prospect 97.

Such cover-mounts have, until recently, been the preserve of specialist computing magazines, but no more. So, can fundraisers look forward to other cover-mounts? There is at least one more CD-ROM being considered for distribution in this way.
