Land mine charities slow to receive grants

The Director of the Mines Advisory Group claimed that organisations that remove land-mines from the ground had not yet received a penny towards their work from the Diana, Princess of Wales’ Memorial Fund. Lou McGrath is reported in The Independent as expressing concern that the fund is “becoming an industry in itself and is not solving the problem”.
