Comic Relief is now for the first time accepting secure online donations courtesy of BT WebWorld.

Comic Relief is also running the Red Site Day whereby they are encouraging supporters to add one of a selection of logos to their own web pages, the “first ever Net-wide charity site link up.”

And the result? “On the night, through BT WebWorld technology, a fantastic £10,000 in donations were taken on the World Wide Web and since then the figure has shot up to £26,000 with an average donation of £27 per person”.
