Discounts for smaller charities for Bureau van Dijk's DASH database

Recent News

Well done Matt Ide (fResource, now THINK Resource) who has just announced details of a new deal he has been negotiating with Bureau van Dijk. Charities with an income of less than £10 million can now subscribe to this resource for less than previous years. It still isn’t cheap, but it is at least a little less expensive than it was.

Old pricing structure:

Charity income less than £1.2 million = Cost of £1,875 + VAT per year
Income between £1.2 million - £2 million = £2,850 + VAT
Income over £2 million = £3,750 + VAT

New pricing structure:

Income less than £2 million = £995 + VAT (6 month trial June - December 2009)
Income between £2 million - £10 million = £2,875 + VAT
Income over £10 million = £3,750 + VAT

So the savings based on the new pricing are as follows:

Charities with an annual income of less than £1.2 million will now save £880 + VAT
Charities with income between £1.2 million - £2 million will save £1,855 + VAT
Charities with an income between £2 million - £10 million will save £875 + VAT

Charities with an income over £2 million can now get a new multi-year discount of 5% for 2 years and 10% for 3 years. However, this doesn't apply for the lower-price bracket as this is a trial phase.

Always haggle over prices (although this might not work with Bureau van Dijk for a while), and always haggle over download options, especially if the supplier won’t shift on price.
