NCH Northern Ireland is kicking off its first ever fundraising campaign in the region with a musical quiz based on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. While this is NCH's first fundraising venture in Northern Ireland the organisation has been running services there since 2000.

Bristol-based Meningitis UK have launched a new website in preparation for the number of meningitis cases which traditionally peak in February. While focused on encourage people to become familiar with the symptoms of the disease, the site also seeks support to find a vaccine to eradicate meningitis.

Advertising and marketing consultant Andrew Papworth has cast doubt on the recent publication of 'The UK's Most Valuable Brands 2006' by consultancy Intangible Business. Writing in the latest edition of his occasional free newsletter 'Harvest', he argues that the same methodology for evaluating high street brands can not be applied to the diverse organisations that make up the charity sector.
