ChangeStar publishes essential diary dates for UK voluntary sector

Social change agency ChangeStar has published its ‘What’s on in the Charity World 2016’ diary of key events and dates for the UK voluntary sector.
The calendar, now in its second year of publication, features charity and health awareness days and fundraising events for 2016 from a wide variety of sources.
Kate Wright, Account Director at ChangeStar, said:

“The idea came from my own online search for a good UK calendar of charity events. When I searched ‘charity calendar’ on Google I just saw a multitude of photos of bare bottoms and strategically placed fruit bowls which wasn’t quite what I was after! Other ‘Awareness Day’ websites are also more focused on the United States.”

The direct marketing specialists that “help good causes connect with people to do good things” see the calendar as a useful planning tool for charities and companies, and hope that it will also publicise fundraising events to potential participants.
It’s hoped that the calendar will also help publicise fundraising events to potential participants.
The calendar is presented in list form on a single page. The busiest month of the year is June with 24 dates listed.

New for 2016

This year’s calendar includes online links for all events. Marathons, festivals such as Glastonbury and Pride, events for charity professionals, telethons such as Children in Need and awareness campaigns for charities large and small are all covered.
What’s on in the Charity World 2016 will be updated in Spring 2016 and charities are invited to submit any entries or feedback to Kate Wright.
