RiF APRA bursaries offer 2013

The Researchers in Fundraising (RiF) group is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year by offering two bursaries for UK prospect researchers to attend the APRA Annual Conference in the USA.

Two prospect researchers will each receive £1,500 towards the registration, travel and accommodation costs of the conference, which takes place in Baltimore from 7 to 10 August.

APRA is the international organisation for fundraisers who specialise in research and information management.

Bursaries are open to applicants from all organisations across the UK not-for-profit sector, regardless of their organisation’s cause. Applicants need not be a member of the Institute of Fundraising or other bodies.
RiF used to offer bursaries to UK-based training courses and conferences but these met with limited interest. So now, its volunteer Committee is focusing purely on bursaries for the APRA conference. Until this year, only one bursary place had been offered.

The deadline to apply is 16 April 2013 and a decision will be made by 22 April.
