The BaxterStorey Foundation, a registered charity set up by contract catering company BaxterStorey’s, has been renamed the WSH Foundation to enable all Westbury Street Holdings’ (WSH) companies to contribute funds.
Funds raised through the Foundation are used to support local schools in establishing kitchen gardens and donations are regularly made to other charities, including Hospitality Action and Springboard.
WSH companies comprise BaxterStorey, benugo, Caterlink, Holroyd Howe and Portico.
A board of WSH trustees has been appointed to provide strategic ./guidance as to where the Foundation can make the biggest difference with its donations.
Alastair Storey, Chief Executive of WSH, commented: “As a company we have strong aspirations to build on the achievements of the BaxterStorey Foundation. We felt it was appropriate to rename it the WSH Foundation so we can capture the wide array of fundraising undertaken in our other companies and maximise the donations WSH’s School Kitchen Garden project supports UK schools in setting up and maintaining kitchen gardens.”
To date, the Foundation made grants of over £68,000 to 38 schools for a kitchen garden.
Schools can apply for funding at any time. Applications for funds from the Foundation should be made in writing to Helen Storey, The WSH Foundation, The Waterfront, 300 Thames Valley Park Drive, Reading, Berkshire RG6 1PT.
