Morrisons raises £5 million for Marie Curie
Morrisons has raised £5 million for Marie Curie in the first 15 months of a three-year partnership targeting £15 million by October 2027, with donated loyalty points, on-pack promotions and match funding all contributing to the total.
The supermarket announced the milestone 15 months into a partnership with the end of life charity that launched in November 2024.
How the £5 million was raised
Two campaigns did much of the early work. Paint it Yellow saw stores across the UK run fundraising and awareness raising activities, while Every Pack Gives Back put hundreds of promotional products in yellow packaging on Morrisons shelves, with a percentage of each sale donated to the charity. Together the two initiatives raised over £1 million in a single month.

Adding Marie Curie to the Morrisons More Card app, which allows customers to donate their loyalty points, has generated over £90,000 to date. More than 5,650 volunteer-led collections have been held in Morrisons stores, and the Morrisons Foundation has match-funded over £120,000 of colleague fundraising.
What the money has funded
Since the partnership began, Marie Curie hospices have cared for approximately 9,300 people, many of them supported by Morrisons-funded roles. More than 136,000 hours of expert nursing care have been delivered in people’s homes, and the charity counts almost 11,000 meaningful moments provided to patients and their families.
Marie Curie says one in three people in England currently die without the care and support they need at the end of life.
Rami Baitiéh, Morrisons CEO, said:
“We began the partnership with a shared ambition to improve end of life care for local communities and to know we’ve already helped fund more than 136,000 hours of expert nursing care and support for families at the end of life across the UK is truly special.”
Matthew Reed, Chief Executive at Marie Curie, said:
“From taking part in campaigns like the Great Daffodil Appeal to tackling challenges like our Beat the Trails trek series, we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who is helping us close the gap in end of life care.”
A relationship that predates the partnership
Morrisons has supported the Great Daffodil Appeal, Marie Curie’s flagship fundraiser, since 2017 through in-store collections. To mark the £5 million milestone the two organisations produced a short film featuring Morrisons Community Champion Jacqueline Watson, who describes the Marie Curie support her grandmother received before her death.
