The Ireland Funds has announced that their 2019 grant round will open in early March.

The Ireland Funds say they are currently updating their grant round processes and timeline for 2019 but as in previous years that there will be both a Flagship grant round and Small Grant round. Both grant rounds apply to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

The Ireland Funds Flagship Grant Round provides grants for core funding, capacity building or programme costs for non-profit organisations working within one of the Ireland Funds key programme areas. Successful Flagship grantees will receive multi-annual funding of up to €/£100,000 over a two year period.

The purpose of this round is to improve the quality and sustainability of existing programmes, or to help scale initiatives that are already having an impact. Last year Dogs for the Disabled, Abbey Theatre, Children in Crossfire, Sensational Kids, CyberSafeIreland and Trinity Centre for People with Intellectual Disabilities were given Flagship awards.

The Small Grant Round offers grant funding under €7,000/£7,000 for smaller community organizations and for organizations that have not previously been supported by The Ireland Funds.

To help potential grant applicants the Ireland Funds will deliver funding grants workshops in locations around Ireland and Northern Ireland. These workshops are particularly beneficial for organisations that are new to The Ireland Funds and are free to attend.

The Ireland Funds give grants in the areas of Community Development, Peace and Reconciliation, Education and Arts and Culture.
