Three charities to benefit from final series of Big Brother

After Adoption, Kith and Kids, and Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust are the three charities that will benefit from the final series of Channel 4’s Big Brother, which starts later this week.
The charities will receive donations from funds raised by the programme’s public telephone votes in which viewers vote on whom they wish to remain in the house. From each call, 15p will be donated to charity, with the funds raised divided equally between the three beneficiary organisations.
In addition to the donations, the charities will be able to profile their work on the Big Brother website.
Lynn Charlton, Chief Executive of After Adoption, said: “To have been chosen as one of the beneficiary charities for the final series of Big Brother is a fantastic opportunity for us. Not only will this provide a source of much needed funding, but it also offers a platform to build greater awareness of our services, potentially enabling thousands more people affected by adoption to access the professional support, information and advice they are looking for.”
