Charity Pulse 2008 is collecting information for the second year running on what it’s like to work for a charity.
This is the annual voluntary sector staff satisfaction survey run by Birdsong Charity Consulting and Third Sector magazine and is open to anyone working for a UK charity.
The research aims to build up a picture of working life in charities and help to improve the standard of people management in the sector. The more people who take part, the more useful the data will be – last year over 700 people filled in the survey.
In 2007 it revealed that charity staff working in the environment and conservation sector are happiest with their employers and that people working for organisations with fewer than 200 staff have more faith in their senior management than staff in bigger charities.
You can find the survey at www.bird-song.co.uk/charitypulse.html Closing date is 25 April. Anyone completing the survey can enter a prize draw for four free coaching sessions and a year’s free subscription to Third Sector.
