Help the Hospices chooses Ascent from CIBER UK for relationship management

National hospice charity Help the Hospices has selected the Ascent Relationship Management Solution from CIBER UK to provide a single, centralised view of all their contact data to help ensure consistent, targeted communications with their supporters and stakeholders.
Over time the charity has developed a number of different contact databases designed for different purposes such as communicating with supporters, with palliative care staff, and for training hospice staff. Help the Hospices staff realised however that the organisation needed to ensure that information was shared across the organisation in order to be more effective. As a result, Simon Brasch, Database and Website manager, launched a project to consolidate the range of existing databases onto one platform.
The charity received approaches from 11 suppliers, of which it chose CIBER UK’s product. Simon Eady, IT Support Manager at Help the Hospices, said: “The technical architecture of the Ascent Solution was an important consideration in our decision making process. The .NET Framework will enable us to support remote users and deliver a full range of functionality to them via the internet.”
