Deadline for entry to Charities Online Accounts Awards nears

Howard Lake | 2 November 2007 | News

Entries to the 2007 Charities Online Accounts Awards must be submitted by 16 November. The Awards aim to raise the standard of online reporting in the voluntary sector by recognising charities for the availability, clarity, accessibility and web-friendliness of their online financial reports.

The awards are run by CAF and the Institute of Chartered Accountants. The winning charity in each category gets £5,000, and there are prizes for the charities placed second and third,

CAF argues that charities need to retain the trust and support of the public and communicating their finances and activities clearly and transparently is an essential element of this.
