Spinal Injury Associations wins pro bono public affairs support
The Spinal Injury Association (SIA) has successfully won pro bono political support from the Whitehouse Consultancy for 2006. The SIA was chosen by the public affairs agency to benefit from a year’s representation on the basis of a strong and focussed application.
Whitehouse launched its first pro bono scheme in September, requesting applications from charities and voluntary organisations which felt they would benefit from public affairs support but were otherwise unable to fund such activity.
With a range of clients in the health sector, Whitehouse will be seeking to use their specialist experience to support the SIA in delivering their public policy objectives at a time of organisational growth.

The SIA represents the estimated 40,000 spinal cord injured people in the UK. Working with Whitehouse, the organisation is aiming to to put itself at the heart the reforms being brought about by the Green Paper on incapacity benefit due early in 2006 and the Care Outside the Hospital White Paper scheduled for release in December 2005.
