Advant~age raises funds for charities when spend triggers donations
Nearly £3 million has been spent with advant~age – spend which triggers donations to charities that in turn funds their vital work.
Advant~age is a Birmingham based social enterprise, established in 2011, that has dedicated itself to working with charities. advant~age works exclusively with charities and not for profits providing them with the essential tools that enables them to market products and services to their supporters, without the complications of having to manage each provider individually. Advant~age works with 27 charities across the UK including Mind, Age Connects North East Wales & Tree of Hope.

“advant~age are committed to helping charities raise unrestricted funds, through offering their supporters a way of buying products and services that benefits the cause they support. Whilst we strive to raise more and direct more spend through social channels, we did feel this was a suitable time to reflect and take some pride from the achievements of advant~age so far. Our dedicated teams were proud to discover nearly £3 million has been channelled through advant~age and our aim is to grow this significantly and quickly, as we work with more charities”.
Through the development of an innovative solution to meet fundraising aspirations, advant~age has enabled £2.7 million to be directed through a pioneering route that ultimately helps to support charitable causes; charities such as Age Connects North East Wales, who have partnered advant~age in providing products and services to their supporters for the past three years.
Graham Pithouse of Age Connects North East Wales comments:
“Advant~age has provided us with a monthly income; this regular income to our organisation helps us to support a part of our activities and overhead costs – it is critical to us that we find new ways of increasing the income for the organisation to keep our services running ,especially in light of the reduction in funding that most charities are experiencing”.
Advant~age works with charities to help them raise money simply, by offering their customers products and services that they would have purchased anyway. Charity partners that work with advant~age receive a free web link to the advant~age website from their own website. From here their supporters can access insurances, funeral plans, equity release plus other services – services they require anyway.
By buying through the charity, supporters can feel confident that service providers have been fully vetted allowing them to progress their purchase with confidence. If the product offered is suitable to the user, then a donation is made to the referring charity.
Advant~age is free to use for charity partners, and aims to offer a competitive product that means consumers get a good deal as well. By operating in this way advant~age becomes a valued resource for charities, and can provide a monthly income stream for those charities.
Supporters who wish to help their charities in this way are encouraged to visit the advant~age website, www.advant-age.co.uk, where they can find more details and a full list of charities working with us.

About advant~age
Based in Sutton Coldfield, advant~age operates as a social enterprise to give maximum benefits to their charities. Each charitable partner is given the tools to market the products and services they select from the portfolio, and then make their communities aware of them. A donation to the charity is triggered each time a charity refers a customer and a product is sold. Being an advant~age partner doesn’t require a financial investment. Signing up is free and each is given a free personalised web link, regulatory support (where necessary) and literature, which they can use in the appropriate way. Thanks to advant~age’s thorough due diligence process, charities can relax knowing they are signposting to reputable organisations, that will treat their users with the respect and care they deserve.
