First charity teleshopping programme yields disappointing results
The UK’s first teleshopping programme, The Community Channel’s ‘Charity Store’, has achieved poor results in its first three weeks.
According to Third Sector, Help the Aged raised £1,300 and Send a Cow raised nothing in the programme’s first three weeks.
The half-hour programme lets charities sell products from their catalogues to a TV audience.

Fortunately start-up costs for the first three charities involved have been minimal.
