UK Charity Awards 2003 shortlist announced
The shortlist for the 2003 UK Charity Awards, run by Charity Times magazine in association with Charity Logistics, has been announced.
QED UK, Terrence Higgins Trust, The Fairtrade Foundation, and Wateraid have been shortlisted for the Charity of the Year award.
Those shortlisted for the Fundraising Manager of the Year award are Abi Shaw – Friends of the Neo Natal Unit at St George’s; Karen England – Childlife; Nick Beanland – William Sutton Trust, and Rupert Tappin – Front Door Fundraising.

Organisations shortlisted for the Best New Charity category are Autism Cymru, Caroline’s Rainbow Trust, One World International Foundation, and Save the World Club.
The winner of the Fundraising Campaign of the Year award will be selected from entries by Amnesty International, Marie Curie Cancer Care, The National Trust, and
The Prostate Cancer Charity.
The shortlisted entries for Corporate Partnership of the Year are Childline and BT, Get Connected and Carphone Warehouse, The National Autistic Society and HIT Entertainment, and WaterAid and Thames Water.
Web sites shortlisted for Charity Internet Site of the Year are those of Battersea Dogs Home, Mencap, MS Society, and YouthNet UK.
The shortlist for the Corporate Community Involvement award consists of Aon Limited, Coca Cola Bottlers, Marks & Spencers, and UBS Investment Bank.
Consultancies shortlisted for the Fundraising and IT Services Award are AK Consultancies, Caring Together, Cascaid Group, and Tate Bramald.
The awards evening will take place on 3 September 2003 in the Great Room
of Grosvenor House, London, where the awards have been presented for the past two years.
