Evening Standard names City's wealthiest person
Bruno Schroder tops the Evening Standard’s list of the 50 wealthiest people in the City of London.
Schroder, head of the banking family that owns a stake in finance house Schroders, is worth £1.12 billion, according to the Evening Standard.
The newspaper’s fifth and final instalment of The City Rich List is published today and details the top six. These are:

- 5: Michael Spencer, £245 million
- 4: Peter Buckley, £298 million
- 3: Sir Evelyn de Rothschild, £365 million
- 2: Roddie Fleming and family, £1.05 billion
- 1: Bruno Schroder and family, £1.12 billion
