US breast cancer charity the Komen Foundation received donations from two major Web sites which ran click-to-give for free campaigns.

US breast cancer charity the Komen Foundation received donations from two major Web sites which ran click-to-give for free campaigns.

Yahoo!’s health section raised $10,000 for breast cancer charity the Komen Foundation. It donated a dollar for the first 5,000 people to click on the pink ribbon at the health site. Yahoo!’s original maximum donation of $5,000 was doubled following the huge response.

NFL.com received 1.75 million unique users on its site during NFL’s Breast Cancer Awareness Day on October 24. The NFL donated US$50,000 to the Komen Foundation.
