Oxfam enhances online charity shop

Oxfam GB has been promoting its fair trade gift catalogue online since 1997. It has now redeveloped its online trading service with its fair trade online store, offering hundreds of products online. It has also transferred part of its charity shops facility online by offering selected items donated to its shops for online auction.
As reported by UK Fundraising in September, the online auction facility offers rare and collectable books, records, stamps and coins. When we visited, photographs of all lots were available, an enhancement that is sure to help sell the items. The photos were taken by the shop manager and books team volunteers in the Oxfam Leeds bookshop. Oxfam GB are, incidentally, the largest second-hand book dealer in Britain.
Both shop and auction are part of a corporate relationship with Yahoo! UK.
