Waterstone's raises £0.25m in two years

Booksellers Waterstone’s support charities involved in the freedom of speech, ideas and movement. This year’s adopted charity is Refuge, the charity for women and children experiencing domestic violence. Waterstone’s promotional leaflet for Refuge reports that, over the past two years, it has raised over £250,000 for charity. The beneficiary charities have been the Terrence Higgins Trust and the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture.
